1. And you may ask yourself, "Well... how did I get here?" (Tell us your journey?)
I was born in Hermosillo, a city in Northern Mexico right in the middle of the Sonoran Desert. After high school I was lucky enough to win a scholarship for Tecnologico de Monterrey so I moved to one of Mexico's biggest cities. I was a resident assistant at the school dorms throughout my years there and it was one of the most fun and rewarding learning experiences I've ever had. I earned my BS in Accounting and Finance, and during my last year of studies I started working at Flex (called Flextronics at the time) in the Information Technology department. Finance and IT proved to be a very interesting combination and I decided to focus my career in the intersection between them. I left the corporate world to experience first-hand the love/hate of consulting life. I got to work with companies of all different sizes and across many different industries: solar, software, manufacturing, health and wellness, etc. As a consultant you are always about to jump to the next project, so I longed for a feeling of ownership and impact. When I interviewed at Persefoni I immediately knew this was a place where I could make an impact - not only in the way we operate and grow, but also in helping fighting climate change!
2. And you may find yourself behind the wheel of a large automobile. (What do you do at Persefoni?)
I am Financial Systems manager, so I am in charge of selecting and administering all of out systems that relate to finance: ERP, subscription management, AP, tax engines payroll and even travel management! The finance & IT combination is still proving strong.
3. And you may ask yourself, "Where does that highway go to?" (What are your hopes for your time at Persefoni?)
I want our team to have best of class processes and systems that will enable them to do their role in the most efficient and seamless way possible! This lets all of us spend time on value add activities and help us grow faster.

4. And you may say to yourself, "My God! What have I done?" (Why is Persefoni a great home for you?)
I feel super excited to go to work each morning knowing that my daily activities are ultimately helping our planet. Just a few days ago my 6 year old son asked, very concerned "Mom why is it raining so much? It's almost Fall and this is not supposed to happen, is it? Are you working hard enough at Persefoni to fix this? We need to hurry." This hit me hard and made me even more aware of the responsibility each of us has in making sure we are doing all we can to fight climate change. We need to leave a better world for the younger generations.
5. And you may find yourself in another part of the world... (Tell us about your life/hobbies away from work?)
I love spending time with my family: my wonderful husband and my two boys, who are 6 and 1 (such fun ages!). I also love to read and to travel. I enjoy traveling anywhere from the beach, to the mountains, big cities, small towns and trying new food is one of the most exciting part of traveling for me! Speaking of food, I always thought I didn't know how to cook but I recently discovered the joys of cooking and baking my own bread, pizzas, pastries and tortillas, a new hobby I am really enjoying!
