Getting to know Persefoni: Meet Kristina Pedrosa

1. And you may ask yourself, "Well... how did I get here?" (Tell us your journey?)

I’m born and raised in California. I come from an incredibly large family, like most Filipino families. My grandmother had eight children and so did my mom! A fun fact about me is that I have seven brothers and I’m the only girl. I was also the first to graduate college from my entire family and got my Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from California State University, Fullerton.

I started my career off in the automotive industry. I worked for a corporation where I acted as the liaison between customers and dealerships across the nation, effectively managing more than 200 dealerships. Afterwards, I made the switch to a start-up environment in the same sector. I wanted to work for a smaller organization that had a purpose and helped the public. I learned a great deal fostering positive relationships, providing industry and product knowledge, and developing strategies for new market areas. After some time, I decided to take a leap of faith and try my hand in a different industry. I worked at a Customer Success platform, ChurnZero. I strengthened my knowledge in learning how to create and streamline processes for small to enterprise organizations. I met Rico as one of my customers and soon enough I was presented with an opportunity of a lifetime to join Persefoni. The chance to make an impact in this world and join an amazing team was a no brainer!

2. And you may find yourself behind the wheel of a large automobile. (What do you do at Persefoni?)

I’m the Customer Success Operations Manager here at Persefoni. I assist the Customer Experience team at large and help build out the necessary processes and capabilities to scale our client facing operations. I make sure that our Customer Success team is well equipped with the right resources and processes to ensure that our clients have a seamless and successful experience at Persefoni.

3. And you may ask yourself, "Where does that highway go to?" (What are your hopes for your time at Persefoni?

My hope is that our team has the right tools in place to successfully deliver customer results. If we maintain a smooth, positive experience throughout the customer’s journey then we’ve done our job at making it easy for organizations to act on climate change. Climate change is very real and my hope is that Persefoni can accelerate the development of climate goals.

4. And you may say to yourself, "My God! What have I done?" (Why is Persefoni a great home for you?)

Our Persefoni team is unmatched. I can easily say that this is one of the most intelligent and engaged group of individuals that I’ve been a part of. Everyone is incredibly talented and committed to helping make a difference in this world. Additionally, I have always envisioned myself taking part of a company from the ground up – the opportunity to grow and scale an organization has always been a goal of mine and I can’t wait to see this through for years to come. I’m beyond grateful and excited to have joined Persefoni.

5. And you may find yourself in another part of the world... (Tell us about your life/hobbies away from work?)

I moved to the DC area during the height of the pandemic with my fiancé. There wasn’t much to do when we first got here since most places were shut down, but now that it’s opened up a bit more, we’ve been trying to immerse ourselves with what DC has to offer. During our free time, we love to explore the city, try new restaurants, travel, and stay active. I love trying new activities – I’ve been skydiving, bungee jumping, and I’ve swam with whale sharks. I’m also a big on sports, especially basketball. I have been an avid basketball fan for as long as I can remember! I’m getting married soon so a lot of my free time lately has been dedicated to wedding planning. I’m always visiting my family and friends back home in California. Having the opportunity to work remotely has allowed me the ability to go back as often as I would like, it's also allowed me to frequently travel to surrounding states. I’m hoping to move back to California very soon! As much as I like it here in the East Coast, my heart will always be in California! Plus, I can’t stay away from family and friends for too long!
