1. And you may ask yourself, "Well... how did I get here?" (Tell us your journey?)
I spent the first ten years of my career in customer-facing management positions, overseeing teams of various sizes and working directly with clients. After moving to Baltimore, MD, I wanted to transition into a more technical-oriented role and eventually earned the opportunity to work for a startup SAAS company in the e-commerce space. I would spend four years there growing a team from the ground up and overseeing the day-to-day support operations. I had first heard about Persefoni from my best friend, who is currently the Director of Customer Success, Rico Smith. Hearing about the company's values and beliefs, I was more than thrilled to join the team and help make a true impact in the fight against climate change.
2. And you may find yourself behind the wheel of a large automobile. (What do you do at Persefoni?)
As the Manager of Customer Support, I am currently helping build the foundation for how Persefoni users will interact with our internal teams whenever they need assistance. The support we provide encompasses everything from general platform related questions and bug identification to product feedback or requests, and all topics in between. It’s my goal to ensure that each and every user of the Persefoni platform feels supported and knows that they have a whole force of Persefonites on their side to help them succeed.
3. And you may ask yourself, "Where does that highway go to?" (What are your hopes for your time at Persefoni?)
Knowing that Persefoni is full of like-minded individuals striving towards the same goal of making a true impact in the climate change crisis brings me a lot of joy. I look forward to playing my part and providing world-class service to everyone I get the opportunity to interact with and meet along my journey. I hope that we can quickly earn the trust of organizations around the world of every size and demonstrate how we offer a real solution to combat the seemingly daunting task of tracking, analyzing, and ultimately reducing their emissions.
4. And you may say to yourself, "My God! What have I done?" (Why is Persefoni a great home for you?)
We all strive to find a company that we are excited to work for; however, it can sometimes be a strenuous and never-ending task. In the few weeks that I've been here at Persefoni, it is clear how each person is focused and passionate about their role and willing to lend a hand whenever needed. Even more so, everyone not only believes in but wants to be an active part of the company's fight against climate change. When you start to realize and discover the positive impact of what you are doing each day, it is an easy decision to get out of bed, put a smile on your face, and get to work!
5. And you may find yourself in another part of the world... (Tell us about your life/hobbies away from work?)
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my wife, Amanda, and two dogs, Dallas and Blue. We often find ourselves hiking around the various parts of Maryland and surrounding states. I would also like to note that I am very much the guy who abandons the trail to get lost and see what things I can climb on! On a typical Sunday, you will most likely find me in front of the TV watching my favorite football team, the Dallas Cowboys, and trying my best not to yell too much. I have been obsessed with football for as long as I can remember, and it’s a subject I could easily talk about for hours. Other than hiking and football, I enjoy doing Crossfit workouts and listening to country music way too loud!
